European CommissionV-Day Europe is financially supported by the European Commission's Daphne Programme, which aims to support organisations that develop measures and activities to prevent or to combat all types of violence against children, young people and women and to protect the victims and groups 'at-risk'. The European Commissioner for Culture and Education, Viviane Reding, has actively supported V-Day 2004 through her participation in the transnational V-Day performance in Luxembourg.
European Women's LobbyThe EWL has been a partner of V-Day since 2000. The European Women's Lobby (EWL) is the largest coordinating body of national and European non-governmental women's organisations in the European Union, with over 4000 member associations in the 25 Member States. The EWL's goal is to achieve equality of women and men in Europe and to serve as a link between political decision-makers and women's organisations at EU level.
Amnesty International BelgiqueThe AI Belgium Office supports V-Day Moreover, on March the 8th 2004, Amnesty International launched a two-year campaign to stop violence against women. Amnesty International is calling on all governments as well as private actors, institutions and individuals to take immediate steps to put an end to violence against women and to redress the suffering it causes.
Commune d'IxellesThe culture and information services of the Brussels borough (commune) of Ixelles has financially and practically supported the organisation of the screening of the documentary Until the Violence Stops and the Jour V Europe benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues at Flagey.

Lissy Gröner MEPMember of the European Parliament in the socialist group since 1989, Lissy Gröner has been a major political supporter of our activities. She has hosted an exclusive screening of the UTVS documentary at the European Parliament in February 2004 and will host the Jour V cheque giving presentation in October 2005.
